New door for the garden shed

During the monthly garden maintenance in the garden of one of my regular customers, I noticed that the garden shed door needed repair.

Upon closer inspection, I found that the shed door was rotten on too large a surface, therefore, was only suitable for replacement.
After measured the shed door I found out that they have non-standard dimensions, so the door of such dimensions is inaccessible. In this case, I decided to build a new shed door from basic.

The new door was made from 22 mm panels and 12 cm wide with a tongue and groove system. This system allows you to build a solid door without gaps and minimizing the penetration of water between panels.

Despite the undersized and curved frame, I have mounted the shed door correctly. Then after polishing the door I applied two layers of grey undercoat for wood and painted three times with black glossy paint. At the end of the work, I mounted and painted the bolt lock for the padlock.

The materials I used to build the new garden shed door:
2 square meters of sheeting TG & V white deal 120 x 20mm
4m of rough swan timber 125 x 30mm
70 stainless steel screws,
0.5 liter of grey undercoat for wood,
0.5 liter of black paint for wood,
The bolt lock
Making the shed door from scratch with shopping, cutting planks, and panels to size, fitting, polishing, and painting took me a total of up to 10 hours with the spread on a few days. The reason for the spread is simple when I paint between layers I have to wait for 6 to 12 hours according to the instructions given by the manufacturer to the paint and undercoat.
